Biography
Abigail Bella, MPH, is a midwifery student at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently working on a research project to compile a more comprehensive set of planned home birth outcome data for New York State to be entered into the MANA Stats database in order to produce a statewide analysis. Prior to entering midwifery school, Abigail was the Coordinator of the Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) and Teaching Oral-Systemic Health (TOSH) programs at NYU College of Nursing, whose goals are to integrate oral-systemic health into nursing and midwifery programs nationwide. Abigail earned her Master of Public Health degree from New York Medical College.
