Abigail L. Reese

Biography

Abigail L. Reese, CNM, MSN is a midwife with more than a decade of experience caring for women in a variety of practice settings, including home, birth center, hospital, and community health center. She is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of New Mexico, College of Nursing, and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nursing and Health Policy Collaborative Fellow. Her research addresses access to maternity care in rural communities. Abby also works as the Program Director for the New Mexico Perinatal Collaborative, where her efforts focus on interdisciplinary and community-based collaboration in order to improve women’s health policy and access to services that are grounded in a reproductive justice framework.
