Chris McManus is the Editor of a local weekly newspaper reporting on the issues facing a remote, rural community, after her retirement from a long career as an executive in a public utility, where she managed two hundred people and acted as an expert witness. She has four degrees, in history, education, business, and theology, and uses this knowledge as President and Managing Director of MOMS. Chris has traveled to Sierra Leone 19 times and trained over 350 women. Chris is also ordained in the Episcopal Church and has been involved with various church agencies in development and leadership. Since childhood, Chris has been an active volunteer in the local library, Planned Parenthood, food programs, gay rights, and support of people with HIV/AIDS. A visionary leader and effective manager, Chris has served on a half-dozen boards of directors. Chris is married to Co-presenter Trish Ross and they share five children, eight grandchildren, and three dogs. They live on the north coast of California.
