Kennasha Jones

MANA 2019 Speaker

Biography

Kennasha Jones, LM, CPM is licensed in TX. While midwifery is her career, more than that, she considers it a ministry. There is an unmatched beauty in midwifery, with distinct qualities that belong to “the midwife” that include compassion, empathy, tenderness, patience and unconditional love. Midwifery provides Kennasha the opportunity to serve women and their families during what is one of the most intimate and life-changing events in our lives. Kennasha was born and raised in Portland, OR and graduated from the Univ. of OR in 2006 with a BA. In 2008, she began studying midwifery at Matenidad La Luz, a MEAC-accredited birthing center located in El Paso, TX. Kennasha is bilingual with a degree in Spanish, welcoming Spanish-speaking clients. Kennasha is married to a person she considers the world’s most magnificent man, God’s perfect gift created just for her. Together they have two beautiful daughters, one of whom was birthed at home, and a toy poodle they consider their son! They are strong and devoted members of their congregation, and worship God each and every day. In addition to the joys of family and midwifery, Kennasha also loves to travel, read, explore culinary options, go bicycling and take nature walks in her spare time!
