A midwife for over forty years, Linda has a career-long commitment not only to midwifery and women’s health, but also health disparities and the intersection of health and mental health. She obtained her BSN and MPH, with majors in Public Health Nursing and Maternal Child Health, from the University of Michigan. She completed her MSW at Rutgers University, with a certificate in Violence Against Women and Children. Her midwifery experience includes: Chief of Midwifery at a Regional Medical Center, clinical practice at Planned Parenthood FQHC’s and in a community hospital midwifery practice, solo private midwifery practice, and midwifery faculty. Currently the President of the NJ Affiliate of ACNM, she has served on The ACNM Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce, NJ Board of Medical Examiners Midwifery Committee, and the NJ Blue Ribbon Panel on Black Infant Mortality. She currently serves on the Board of the NJ Coalition Against Sexual Assault, represents midwives in the NJ Immunization Network and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Taskforce, is the New Jersey AIM representative, and serves on NJ Perinatal Quality Collaborative Steering Committee. She is the founding chair of the NJ Health Cares about Domestic and Sexual Violence Collaborative.
