MANA 2019 Speaker

Biography

Veronica Hendrix, LVN, IBCLC, RLC is the Texas Ten Step program coordinator in the Infant Feeding Branch with the Health and Human Service Commission’s Health and Developmental Services Section. She has been an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant since 2009 and a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) since 1998. Mrs. Hendrix has worked in maternity care in both rural and urban areas, which allows her to identify with the unique challenges and needs that health care providers face in each of those environments. Her goal as program coordinator is to develop materials, resources and training that better supports these and other front-line health care professionals. Mrs. Hendrix works diligently on strengthening the collaborative relationship between birthing facilities and their WIC local agencies, ensuring that all mothers experience a continuum of breastfeeding information. When not working in Austin, she stays busy as a wife and mother to five incredibly dynamic children!
